Police say a man posed as a police officer and sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in Channelview earlier this month.

McAfee allegedly told the girl he was a police officer and that she was in violation of the county curfew ordinance.

Investigators say McAfee then drove the girl beneath the Crosby Freeway overpass near the San Jacinto River and sexually assaulted her.

The victim allegedly told investigators her attacker never showed any police credentials before she got into the vehicle.

Child Abuse investigators received several tips about McAfee, leading to his arrest.
