According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a robbery suspect is dead after a deputy shot him at least three times during a tense standoff.

The armed suspect was located on the 13400 block Westland and West Road. A negotiating team was sent out to the scene and attempted to get the suspect to give up peacefully.
