Grand jury considers charges against trooper in Sandra Bland case

WALLER COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A grand jury will meet again in Waller County to consider possible indictments in the Sandra Bland case.

Last month, the grand jury cleared the Waller County Sheriff's Office and jailers of any criminal wrongdoing in Bland's death and decided not to indict any of them.

But, the trooper who first stopped Bland in her car could still face charges.

Bland was found hanging in her jail cell just days after her arrest. Her death was ruled a suicide.
