Good Samaritan covers cost of new air conditioner at animal shelter

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A local animal shelter in The Heights just received a major donation Thursday.

The shelter's air conditioning went out a couple days ago and 200 dogs and cats were stuck living in the intense heat.

A good Samaritan stepped forward and wrote a check for thousands of dollars to cover the cost of a new air-conditioning unit for the shelter.
