Headed around town? Expect increased security this weekend

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Expect to see more Harris County deputies than usual around town this weekend.
The sheriff has added extra patrols as more people are expected to attend RodeoHouston, St. Patrick's Day activities and Spring Break fun.
"Use UBER, a cab, a designated driver, anything," said HCSO Sgt. Cedric Collier.

Additional patrols will also be in place for traffic enforcement.
"We're encouraging people to be extra careful while kids are out. And also kids that are here visiting home from college," Sgt. Collier said. "We don't want a tragedy to occur while kids are seeing their loved ones."
