Gas leak prompts shelter-in-place in Katy

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- City officials ordered a temporary shelter in place in Katy Wednesday morning.

People who live in The Falls of Green Meadows, Cane Island and West Katy, were asked to seek shelter indoors during a gas leak.

A construction crew hit a gas line at Avenue D and Franz, officials said Wednesday.

The shelter-in-place was lifted around 11:30 a.m.
