Fire destroys mobile home near Conroe

CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- Two people were able to escape as a fire engulfed their home in the Conroe area.

The fire broke out around 1:25am at a mobile home on Donna Road near Rocky Road.

Caney Creek firefighters found flames shooting from the mobile home when they arrived. The house was completely destroyed.

Hours prior, firefighters say a tree fell on a main power line knocking out power to the area. It is not known if that incident is related to the fire.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating.
