A fire is burning at a lumber yard near Pearland.

The fire broke out just after midnight and has been burning since.

Heavy fire and smoke can be seen from the burning building. SkyEye is over the scene as the fire continues to burn.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. Firefighters say a lack of fire hydrants is making it difficult to extinguish the fire.
