SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- Firefighters tried to save what they could of an historic cafe and saloon in Old Town Spring after it went up in flames early this morning.

Flames broke out just after 3:30am at the Wunsche Bros Cafe and Saloon Restaurant on Midway Street. Firefighters pulled a second alarm as fire spread through a newer addition of the business.

Witness say the flames moved quickly.

Anthony Bonilla said, "Then when I saw all the smoke, I knew that was not normal, that's when I called 911."

The two-story building first opened to business in 1902.

There's no word yet on what may have caused that fire.

The extent of the damage is unknown at this point.

No one was in the building at the time and no injuries were reported.

An Old Town Spring representative says the town will still hold the Texas Wine and Art Festival today despite the fire.
