Fight between men ends in fatal shooting in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities were on the scene of a fatal shooting near a park in southeast Houston.

The incident happened just before 5:30pm on Noel at Carmen.

According to police, the victim and a suspect got into an altercation. The victim allegedly punched the suspect in the face and that's when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him several times.

The victim's body was in a driveway right across the street from the park. Police do have the suspect in custody.

When officers arrived, there was an argument involving at least 20 people. One of them, police say, was the victim's brother. He was also taken into police custody.

The victim hasn't been identified. An investigation is underway.
