Hunt for security guard killers
Federal authorities expected to make a major announcement about their hunt for three murderous bank bandits.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The FBI will hold a news conference Monday, at which they say they'll announce a significant, unprecedented reward to try and crack an armed robbery that claimed the life of a Brinks driver on February 12.

The brutal crime took place a little more than a week ago. Alvin Kinney, 60, was making a stop at Capital One Bank on Westheimer Road near Chimney Rock when he was ambushed by three masked gunmen.

Investigators say Kinney had no time to react. The Katy man's female partner was working on the truck with him when she fired a shot at the men who attacked them.

They drove off in a white Ford F-250. It was recovered but the men have not been caught.

The development comes at a time when Houston has seen a series of similar crimes. U.S. Attorneys indicted 7 different suspects in a Pasadena bank robbery earlier this month.

FBI Investigators are expected to release surveillance video and still pictures of suspects with the hopes it will bring new leads to the case.
