NW Harris Co. man found dead inside car a day after crash

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A northwest Harris County man was dead inside a car for about 24 hours before his family finally found his body last night.

Relatives found the man's car in a wooded area on Brentchase near Vickson.

Deputies say the 25-year old slammed into a tree and died instantly. His name has not yet been released.

His family told deputies he was following another relative home when he disappeared. They initially thought he went down a side street until he didn't come home and they started to search for him.

Deputies do believe alcohol played a role in this crash.
