Elderly couple found dead in apparent murder-suicide

KINGWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- Houston police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide inside a Kingwood-area home.

The bodies of a couple in their 70s were found late last night by relatives who went to check on the couple's well being.

Police believe the husband shot and killed his wife. He then shot and killed himself.

It's unclear how long the bodies had been inside the home. Relatives told police the husband had been having problems with thoughts of suicide.
