Original Report: Blood tests show man charged in fatal crash was four times legal limit

A man with two previous convictions for driving under the influence is facing intoxication manslaughter charges for a fatal crash on the Eastex Freeway overnight.

Almanza was in the Trailblazer that was hit.

McLaughlin showed signs of extreme impairment and blood tests showed the man was almost four times the legal limit, police said.

Prosecutors say that McLaughlin could face more charges, depending on the condition of the second person in the Trailblazer.
