HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man in northwest Houston survived a brutal attack and drove himself to safety.
Houston Police were called to the Reserve at White Oak Apartments located in the 6200 block of Antoine at Desoto early this morning.
A man who works for DirecTV lives there and told police he was robbed and shot. The gunman stole cash, his personal car keys and then shot him in the stomach.
The victim climbed into his DirecTV van and began to drive himself to the hospital. Investigators say he made it to Antoine and Desoto where he flagged down an HPD officer.
Medics arrived and took him to the hospital. He is expected to survive.
Police are still looking for the gunman. They're not sure if he was working alone.
