Cy-Fair ISD teacher charged with sexual assault of a child
Months after allegations came to light, a Cy-Fair ISD teacher is finally facing charges for having an inappropriate relationship with a student

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Months after allegations came to light, a Cy-Fair ISD teacher is finally facing charges for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

We told you about these allegations back in May and now we can tell you the teacher in question, Kristina Moore, has been charged with sexual assault of a child. The alleged victim is a student whose mother we previously spoke to.

"I felt like a teacher had violated trust again and it's my kid. I was just in awe, shocked, I'm still shocked."

The student's mother told us the relationship between Moore and her son started about two years ago when he was just 13 and in the eighth grade. Moore, a sixth grade teacher at Thornton Middle School, was removed from campus back in May. She is now charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child, with those acts allegedly happening at home in the car and even at school.

Moore has not yet been arrested. Her bond is set at a total of $60,000.

We've reached out to Cy-Fair ISD to see whether her status with the district has changed and we haven't yet heard back.
