Armed robbers target Denny's on Houston's south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Denny's location on Houston's south side was the latest target of armed robbers.

It happened around 1am this morning at the Denny's location in the 2300 block of Southmore.

Three customers who were in the parking lot say the robbers herded them into the restaurant. Once inside, they took everyone's cash and cell phones, and then robbed the cash register. No one was hurt.

Earlier in the night, another group of robbers targeted a Denny's in West Houston (read more here). Police do not believe the two cases are connected.
