Customer shot in La Porte robbery
Police say there is surveillance video from inside that they hope will lead them to the suspects.

LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- La Porte police hope surveillance video will help them catch two men who shot a person during an overnight store robbery.

Police say two men with bandannas over their faces and guns drawn came into this store on West Fairmont Parkway around 9pm. A customer was at the register at the time.

"As they ran into the store, they immediately confronted a customer who was walking toward the register to pay," said La Porte PD Chief Ron Parker. "They fired one shot at him, striking him in the side."

Police say after the suspects shot the customer, they forced the clerk to put cash from the register into a bag then ran off.

There is surveillance video of the suspects and police hope that will help them find these guys.

The customer who was shot underwent emergency surgery overnight. That person's condition is unknown.
