CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- Rescue crews in Conroe evacuated on Tuesday a family trapped by the rising San Jacinto River.

Crews used a boat to rescue at least one elderly man from the home along Sapp Road and Highway 105. They then went back for one other man and two dogs.

The San Jacinto River rose significantly over the last few days due to all the rain. The owner of the home said water started to enter his home. Before he knew it, the family was unable to get out.

Lt. Tim Cade with the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables Office Lake Patrol said the water is expected to continue rising and warns residents downstream to be on alert.

No one was injured in the incident.
