HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A three-year-old boy was taken by Life Flight to a nearby hospital after being found floating in a pool at a home in the Tomball area, according to authorities.
It happened around 2pm on S. Louetta and Highway 249. The boy was visiting that location with his parents and at some point he managed to go outside.
"We understand he went outside through a doggie door and the mother started looking for him upstairs, couldn't find him, looked out the back window and saw him floating in the pool and at which time the father jumped in and got him out," said Constable Mark Herman.
The child's father performed CPR on the boy until medics arrived. He was flown to Memorial Herman Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
Precinct 4 Constables are still on the scene investigating the incident.
