Police say the suspect fled through neighborhoods and ultimately northbound on I-45.

The suspect exited off the South Loop at Broadway, as the suspect hit the brakes and a police car ran into the back of the vehicle.

The suspect's vehicle then hit the retaining wall and he was arrested. The vehicle erupted in flames.

We're told the suspect had minor injuries.

The feeder road is shut down and traffic on the main lanes is moving slowly because of rubber-necking.
