HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Sheriff deputies are looking into a shooting at a cellphone store in northwest Harris County.
Deputies say around 6:20pm, five men, all wearing masks, rushed into the cellphone store located in a shopping center off Highway 249 and N Houston Rosslyn Road.
There were two employees in the front of the store and one employee in the back. Upon rushing into the store, one of the suspects fired a shot and then one of the clerks was pistol-whipped.
The employee who was in the back of the store heard the commotion, grabbed his gun and returned fire.
No one was hit by gunfire, and the suspects got away with several cell phones and up to $700 in cash.
The clerk who was pistol whipped was treated on scene.
