HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for three armed men wanted for holding up a Carl's Jr. restaurant in east Harris County.
At one point, a deputy who said he feared for his life fired shots at one of those men.
It happened around 8:30pm last night at the Carl's Jr. on Wallisville Road near Beltway 8 in east Harris County.
Deputies say the masked men ordered the manager to open the safe.
They ran out with about $3,000 as a deputy waited outside for backup.
The deputy says he fired his gun at one of the men because he thought the suspect was hiding a gun in his pocket.
The deputy missed and all three men disappeared.
