CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- It appears the 'Twin Sisters' have gone missing yet again.

Two cannons, replicas of those at the San Jacinto battleground, were stolen from a Cypress neighborhood park. The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the wheel bases were left behind. The homeowners association there paid for the cannons.

"Sam Houston going through the entire place. We even have every single street named for some significant item so the twin sisters is very important to us," resident Kendall Stephanow said.

Neighbors believe the cannons were stolen sometime Sunday night or Monday morning.
