Bust at north Houston club nets dozens of arrests

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Dozens of people are behind bars this morning after a raid at a gentleman's club in north Houston.

Authorities say prostitution was taking place at Desyre's Gentlemen's Club in the 6900 block of Fairbanks near the North Loop. Authorities say they were there to check the business' licenses.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the bust was part of a six-month investigation that started off as a tip.

They also found money and drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, and several pills. HCSO says the they also discovered illegal gambling and unlicensed alcohol sales at the business.

Deputies arrested employees and patrons for a variety of offenses, ranging from prostitution, possession of illegal drugs and violations of the SOB county ordinances. Up to 30 people were arrested.
