Burning building turns to ice as firefighters battle fire in Boston

BOSTON, MA (KTRK) -- Imagine being called to fight a fire in the midst of a hard winter's freeze.

Firefighters in Boston were surprised to find everything turning to ice as they battled a six-alarm fire on Friday.

They arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the building.

Crews hosed down the scene, putting out the fire. But incredibly, they also watched all that water quickly turn to ice.

Everything was covered in thick layers of ice, including their fire truck, which has icicles hanging from the bumper before all was said and done. Even the fire truck

There is no word on any injuries as a result of the fire, or the extent of the damage.
