WEST BEND, WI -- Sheriff's officials say a 9-year-old boy and his 4-year-old relative have taken a car on a drive through Washington County for the second time in a month.

Authorities say the West Bend boys took a car from the older boy's stepfather Sunday and drove through Farmington. Investigators say the boys wanted to go to a park. They ended up in the ditch about six miles away. Neither child was injured.

WISN-TV reports authorities say the same two boys took a car from a boat dealership in Barton on June 14 and drove on two state highways for about four miles. They were trying to drive to their grandmother's house. In that case, witnesses walked up to the vehicle at an intersection, turned off the engine and took the keys before calling deputies.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call about a car driving in the wrong lane in the town of Farmington Sunday.

Just last month, the boys rode their bikes to a boat store and took off in a car with its keys inside. The teen driver who got them to stop says he's shocked they did it again.

"I can't believe how they got another vehicle and back on the road and trying to do it again after they almost got hurt the first time," said Kaiden Duck.

Investigators are considering possible child neglect charges.
