HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 19-year-old woman was murdered last night at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. Police say they are looking for her 26-year-old boyfriend, Orlando Garcia, who is a suspect in her death.

Garcia was previously arrested in 2008.

Police say Garcia and his girlfriend, who live at the apartment complex in the 8900 block of Bissonnet, had an argument, and during that disagreement the woman was shot once in the head. She died of her wound and Garcia has not been seen since.

Police say during that argument the woman called her family at 9:00pm and was in a fight with her boyfriend. Police say when the woman's mother and sister came to the apartment to check on her, they found the woman dead in her bedroom.

The woman's 2-year-old son was in the house at the time of the murder.

Travis Miller of the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, said, "The 2-year-old son was inside and fortunately the family arrived soon enough after so the boy was not exposed to that for too long."

The Medical Examiner's Office and police are still at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
