Body found on beach in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Police are investigating after a man's body was found on a popular stretch of beach in Galveston.

The discovery was called in to authorities just before 5pm Tuesday.

According to a city of Galveston spokesperson, the body of a male was found on the beach at 37th and Seawall Boulevard.

There's no word on cause of death. The victim has not been identified.

No other details have been released.
