Black water plagues south Texas town
Residents say the water is very oil-like in Crystal City

CRYSTAL CITY, TX (KTRK) -- Someone has some explaining to do in a south Texas town.

The residents in Crystal City were already running low on trust with politicians in their town when the water turned as black as midnight.

The town, which is just southwest of San Antonio, says the sludgy water is very oil-like.

The city says it started when they drained their water tower on Wednesday, which they haven't done in decades.

They say sediment got into the pipes.

Bottled water is now being shipped to the town as crews work to flush out it all out.
