Bizarre kidnapping ends in suicide in Stafford

STAFFORD, TX (KTRK) -- There was a bizarre kidnapping out of Stafford that ended in a suicide, according to authorities.

Police say a man abducted a 79-year-old woman at gunpoint early this morning. The woman was collecting cans along FM 1092.

The man allegedly forced the woman to drive him in her car. The woman saw people at a taco stand along Dulles and began honking her horn.

That's when the man bailed out of the car and took off on foot. He ran to an apartment complex where investigators say he turned the gun on himself. He has not been identified
