Barbecue titans compete at Houston Rodeo cookoff

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Barbecue teams at NRG Park are hoping for a taste of success as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's cookoff.

ABC13's Steve Campion was out with the World Championship Cookoff participants, who showed off their delicious and smoky ribs, sausages, pork shoulders and more.

Phong Vuong of Xtreme Texas Cookers says after 16 years of competing, he's ready for tomorrow night.

"We're just going to bring our best, and hopefully get us another trophy," Vuong says.
