LAREDO, TX -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say they have seized nearly $800,000 worth of liquid methamphetamine from a man who was carrying the drugs in fruit juice bottles.

CBP Port Director Joseph Misenhelter tells KSAT-TV the bottles were in plain sight on a bus at the U.S.-Mexico border. He says the passenger at the Laredo Port of Entry was carrying 10 bottles that contained nearly 25 pounds of the liquid. The 18-year-old man from Pasadena, California, was arrested Friday.

Authorities haven't released the man's identity. He was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations agents.
