HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An off-duty Harris County Sheriff's deputy fires at a man accused of going onto an Infinity dealership's property overnight.

It happened at the Infinity dealership off of Stage Runn and the North Freeway.

Three deputies were working doing security work for the dealership. One deputy spotted a man on the property around 1:15 on Sunday morning. Once the off-duty deputy spotted the man, he chased after him and fired a shot. It does not appear at this time that the suspect was hit. The suspect was with two other men. All of the men ran off.

HCSO deputies brought out the canine unit. It lead them to a nearby apartment complex but after that their leads dried up.

Investigators are hoping surveillance video will help catch the crooks.

On Friday, at least eight vehicles were stolen from the dealership. Investigators believe it may be the same suspects.
