HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A crime warning has been sent to Harris County court employees after multiple incidents were reported near county garages.

All of them happened behind the civil courthouse, near a county parking garage.

Over a week and a half, a woman was groped during an attempted sexual assault between the criminal courthouse and the old jail. In other incident this month, two women leaving a parking garage flagged down an officer after witnessing a different type of sexual crime: an indecent exposure.

We got our hands on an email sent to county employees; it's a general warning about safety in and around the courthouse complex because of these incidents. Part of the email says:

"In each case, the suspect was said to have used physical force and threats were made, nonconsensual contact was alleged resulting in pain."

"There's no question that we need more security out here. I know that we have a lot of law enforcement that are in and around the courthouses but they need to go a little bit farther than that," attorney Carmen Roe.

Harris County Pct. 1 Constable Al Rosen says there are plans in place to further enhance security in and around the courthouse complex.
