Boy, 11, found safely after Amber Alert
Javier Christian Chapa, Jr., was located Monday afternoon, two days after he was taken from the backyard of his grandparents in Brazoria Co.

OYSTER CREEK, TX (KTRK) -- Police found 11-year-old boy at the center of an Amber Alert safe at a gas station, and his father was taken into custody.

A tip led authorities to a Citgo gas station in Clute, where they found Javier Christian Chapa, Jr. The Texas Center for the Missing issued Monday afternoon the Amber Alert for the 11-year-old after he was taken Saturday morning from the backyard of his grandparents in Oyster Creek in Brazoria County.

Authorities say the child was found with his non-custodial father, Javier Chapa, Sr., 28. The father, who has has felony warrants pending (Richwood PD Texas) and is a known drug user, was taken into custody.
