Police seek accused robber who stole potato chips, cigarettes at gunpoint
A reward is now offered for a man wanted in a December armed robbery.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say they need your help finding a man suspected of robbing a store clerk at gunpoint in west Houston.

Investigators say it was around 6:29pm on December 29, 2015 when a man entered a drug store on Westheimer Road near Gessner Road.

Once inside, the man allegedly brought a bag of chips to the counter and asked the clerk to ring up two packages of cigarettes.

When the clerk returned to the register, the man allegedly lifted his shirt with his left hand to show off a silver firearm in the band of his pants.

Investigators say the clerk was ordered to put the money from the cash register along with his chips and cigarettes into a plastic bag.

The man then fled the scene.
