Being asked to be a bridesmaid is quite an honor, but unfortunately it often comes with a big price tag. But now, you can stand by your friend's side on her big day without spending hundreds on a dress you may never wear again.

There are several sites that will let you rent your bridesmaid dress for a fraction of the cost of owning it.
Union Station

The site was formerly Little Borrowed Dress, but has now rebranded itself as Union Station.

Bridesmaid rentals on the site are $50 for short dresses and $75 for floor-length. These dresses also retail on the site for $150 or $185. There are 18 different dresses to choose from, and all come in 18 different colors. They'll even send you three free swatches to make sure you are choosing the right shade.

When you rent a dress, you'll receive your dress and a free backup size two weeks before the wedding. Try them both on, then pick the one you feel better in. Send them back in pre-paid packaging that Union Station provides. Then they'll mail you the dress in time for the wedding.

After the big day, just send it back and they'll take care of the dry cleaning!
There are also $24 ties and bowties for the groomsmen that match the bridesmaid dresses.

Vow to be Chic

With Vow to Be Chic, you can rent designer bridesmaid dresses starting at $95 that would retail upwards of $200. They have the largest selection to choose from with almost 50 dresses in 17 different color options. There is everything from beaded floor-length gowns to short strapless sheaths.

They send you the dress to try on in two sizes based on your measurements months before the wedding or event, or as soon as you start the rental process. Let them know your preferred size and return the try-on dresses by using the prepaid packaging.

One week before the wedding or event, your dress arrives. After the event, return the dress using the prepaid packaging.

If you aren't ready to commit to a single dress, you can pay $19.96 and they'll send you the dress to try on the dress at home before placing your rental order.

This site has the bridesmaids and the bride covered. There are several little white dresses and jumpsuits perfect for the bride to wear to parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners.

Weddington Way

Weddington Way is a site known for selling bridal and bridesmaid dresses, but they offer a limited selection of bridesmaid rentals too. There are six short styles that come in six different colors, and all rent for $75. These dreses would retail for as much as $150.

There are photos of real life wedding parties in the dresses so you can see how to style them.

With each rental, Weddington Way will send you two sizes. You pick one size and your Weddington Way stylist will pick the second, based on your measurements and subject to availability.

You'll receive your rental seven days before the wedding. The next business day after the wedding, pop the dresses into the pre-paid envelope and send them back.
