8-year-old boy chooses to give toys to others, rather than get toys

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A lot of eight year old boys are pretty, well, selfish. Especially during the holiday season.

But a Chambers County boy is proving that it truly is more rewarding to give than to receive.

Third grader Daniel Anderson is collecting toys to give to kids at Texas Children's Hospital.

"Whenever they wake up, they're so excited because they have a toy," he explained.

He's already collected 628 toys and hopes to reach 1000.
