Mattress Mack awarded the National Legion of Honor

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Jim "Mattress Mack" Mcingvale is getting more recognition for his actions during Hurricane Harvey.

Mattress Mack and two veterans received the National Legion of Honor award Saturday night at the Four Chaplans Day event.

The event recognized people for their spirit of giving and service to the community.

Along with Mcingvale, U.S. military veterans Allan Perkins and Charles Miles were honored for their services.
