3 arrested after break-in at W. Houston nightclub
Police say three people burglarized the Midnight Rodeo nightclub after it closed Tuesday night.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A break in at a west side night club may lead to something much bigger.

Three men are now behind bars after allegedly breaking into the club, but the suspects may be responsible for a series of crimes that date back to last year.

It happened after Midnight Rodeo closed for business. Three suspects set off the alarm as they allegedly broke into the night club. When police arrived they spotted the suspects' car.

A short time later the car was pulled over and the three suspects were taken into custody. The manager of the Time Square, a business next door, says the break in sounds very familiar.

A month ago, two men broke a window during a burglary after hours. At Little Woodrow's, less than a mile away, the manager says security cameras caught suspects breaking the door and trying to steal the safe.

Down the Katy Freeway at Jimmy Changas, managers say three men recently broke into their restaurant after hours and at a Coaches Sports Bar and Grill, just one exit away, a similar break in back in October.

Authorities are now looking at security camera footage of those other break ins and are trying to see if any of the suspects from the Midnight Rodeo break in are connected to other crimes in the area.

We also know of two other businesses in the area were hit, all of them restaurants or clubs, so that's seven burglaries since October.

HPD did have quite a few officers out here overnight in what appears to be a stepped up effort to catch the people breaking into businesses.
