Man uses blanket and broom to free alligator stuck in plastic

BOKEELIA, Florida (KTRK) -- A man got creative when trying to free an alligator stuck in plastic.

Michael Stauffer said he was leaving his home on Thanksgiving Day when he saw the gator struggling in the grass.

That's when Stauffer grabbed a broom and blanket to secure the gator and then safely wrestled it to his truck.

Stauffer called wildlife experts who removed the plastic and let the gator go.
