Houstonians brave cold weather at Memorial Park

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A little sunshine and a good jacket were all some runners needed at Memorial Park on Monday.

With the Houston Marathon next week, many people are getting prepared.

Whether its recreation or competition, some runners plan to keep some important things in mind this week.

"Wear lots of layers, something on your ears, something on your hands, which I didn't do," Wendy Houghton said. "And wool socks."
