Houston police search for 18-year-old Marcus Rodgers in connection with deadly shooting at a child's birthday party.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police are looking for an 18-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting a father and wounding his adult son during a 4-year-old child's birthday party.

According to police, Marcus Rodgers is charged with murder in connection to the incident in the northeast side of the city on Sunday night.

Police said 51-year-old Daryal Garrett and his son Daryal Garrett Jr., 24, were shot near their home in the 4700 block of Majestic. The 51-year-old died at the scene, while the 24-year-old victim was taken to LBJ Hospital in serious condition.

One person is dead and another injured after a shooting at a child's birthday party.

An investigation led detectives to identify Rodgers as the suspect.

Police urged anyone with information on Rodgers' whereabouts is urged to call HPD's Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
