LOS ANGELES (KTRK) -- As Hollywood continues to grapple with disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein's fall from grace, legendary actress Rita Moreno opened up about a troubling experience she had with a film studio executive.

Speaking at a Paley Center for Media event honoring women in television, Moreno recounted her efforts to avoid an unnamed 20th Century Fox executive when she was first signed to the studio as a teenager.

"Whenever he found me in the commissary, I made it a point of being with somebody at the table," she said, visibly emotional.

Moreno said the continuing flood of sexual harassment and assault allegations against Weinstein over the past week "has just put me away," adding that her experience four decades ago still haunts her.

"I am 85. And you think, well, Jesus, get over it, woman. But you don't," Moreno said. "You never get over something like that. I can't. And you know what I'm referring to. And I just wanted to say, you know what - I'm still [expletive] here."

After her speech, Moreno received a standing ovation.
