Man finds $24M winning lottery ticket in his pocket
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: A grandfather cashed in his winning lottery ticket right in the nick of time.

A blast from the past meant striking it right for a 68-year-old grandfather in New Jersey.

Jimmie Smith bought a lottery ticket last year in New York, but forgot to check the numbers.

Smith found the ticket in an old shirt pocket after hearing the winner of a $24 million jackpot that never came forward.

Turns out Smith had the winning ticket all along, and went to the state lottery office with just two days to spare before the deadline.
