Suspect at large following Kroger robbing spree

Police are searching for a man accused of robbing two Kroger stores.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police are searching for a man who's accused of robbing two Kroger stores within five miles of each other.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video walking up to the FM 1960 Kroger demanding money.

"I just think it is crazy, we are not safe anywhere in this world anymore," said Georgette Hill, a Kroger shopper.

Surveillance video also shows images of the suspect's red four-door Ford pickup truck.

Customers who spoke with Eyewitness News is hoping someone will recognize the suspect.

"Awful, it is horrible, and I don't think there is no reason or excuse," said Cassandra Johnson

Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with information to call their hotline at 713-222-TIPS.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.
