Pasadena dog adopted and returned twice needs home
Folks at Friends of the Pasadena Texas Animal Shelter says North was adopted 2-3 weeks before Hurricane Harvey.

PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- If you've been thinking of adding a new furry, four-legged member to the family, consider heading over to Pasadena.

Friends of the Pasadena Texas Animal Shelter are hoping North, a female pit bull, finds a new home soon. She's been in the shelter for nearly a year.

A shelter spokesperson said that North was adopted but the owner returned her because of her allergies.

She was again adopted a couple weeks before Hurricane Harvey, but was returned a day later.

The person who took her told the shelter that North didn't quite get along with her cat.

"Both families loved her very much and wanted to get her out of the shelter but ultimately weren't a good fit," the spokesperson told ABC13.

North is very sweet, but she has some anxiety and isn't exactly the most social of dogs.

The shelter took her to an adoption event at PetSmart, but she was stressed and had to leave.

"North doesn't do well at PetSmart so the only way she can find a family is if someone comes to meet her at the shelter," the spokesperson said.

They predict North will get adopted very soon, but until then, North remains at the Pasadena shelter as the longest resident there.

They do suggest that North be placed in a home with no other animals.
