Weekend freeway closures, plus traffic near Greek Fest and NRG

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- As you prepare for your weekend, watch for some minor closures around our freeways.

US-290 Westbound

Jones Road northbound and southbound at US-290 Westbound feeder will shut down between Friday at 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday.

610 South Loop from Scott

610 South Loop westbound will shut down from Scott to Almeda nightly, from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday through Sunday. Take Bellfort as a detour.

I-45 Gulf Freeway to 610 South Loop

The I-45 Gulf Freeway inbound ramp to 610 South Loop westbound will shut down nightly at 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Sunday. Take 610 South Loop eastbound and U-turn for a detour.

Also, expect delays in the Montrose area around The Original Greek Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 3511 Yoakum Blvd. Street parking is not allowed on the streets immediately surrounding the cathedral.

Consider taking METRO, biking, using a rideshare service like UBER, Lyft or Z-trip for Yellow Cab.
