Legends sports complex in The Woodlands closes, due to damage from Harvey

HOUSTON -- Legends Sports Complex announced Oct. 3 its location at 602 Pruitt Road, The Woodlands, will close after 10 years due to damage the facility sustained from Hurricane Harvey.

The Legends owners said in a statement that with much help from the community, they were able to reopen for regular operation within just a few days after Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas coast in late August.

However, nearly a month later the indoor and outdoor sports complex has closed its doors.

"Even with the hard work all of us have put in, the damage to the business itself was just too much for Legends to come back from," Legends owners said in a statement. "With that being said, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce that as of Oct. 3, 2017, we will be closing our doors for the last time."

The Legends owners also cited the many Olympians, professional athletes, parents and children who had made their second homes at the complex over the last decade. The statement also said that anything that is owed will be paid, including refunds, invoices or otherwise, and members can contact the complex at info@thelegendssportscomplex.com for more information.
